To love and empower victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.

Operation Pretty things is designed to be an on-call resource to shelters and victims of abuse by meeting their immediate needs, as well as offering life-impacting gifts, services and support.

How we serve

We are founded on three principles...

love, empowerment, & hope.

It is with these building blocks that we have designed an organization that ministers to the hearts and souls of the hurting.

LOVE

"Let us not love with words and speech only, but with action, and in truth." - John 3:18

ALL women are beautiful and worthy of love.  As a masterpiece is precious, so is the life of every woman. We are committed to reaffirming the incalculable value of each woman’s life by reinforcing this truth through tangible extensions of love and encouragement.

EMPOWERMENT

We advocate relentlessly for every abused and battered woman – the wives, the mothers, the daughters – without a voice of their own. And we applaud the courage of the women who say “enough is enough,” and acknowledge their conviction to create a new life for themselves and their families

HOPE

 Hope is powerful. By its very nature, it inspires change, cultivates independence, and gives meaning to a life previously sustained by fear and isolation.  Offering a glimpse of hope to these women opens the door to endless possibilities, and the confident expectation of a life free from abuse.

Ways We Serve

Operation Pretty Things is always collecting cosmetics and beauty essentials for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.

These gatherings give women an opportunity to host an OPT event in the comfort of their own home!

OPT has created a safe space, and peaceful environment for victims of abuse and assault.  We provide hair and skin care services from licensed professionals to victims of abuse on the day they must face their abusers in court to advocate for themselves and their families.

Locker Box Initiative

 Operation Pretty Things has designed The Locker Box Initiative to partner with middle schools, providing self-care essentials, as well as awareness and resource information to young pubescent female students ages 11-14, who are experiencing personal, physical, and relational development.

Our gifts help prepare women for job interviews, court obligations, and provide overall self-care and wellness practices. Every gift from Operation Pretty Things contains a beautiful assortment of cosmetics and beauty essentials and a handwritten note full of love and encouragement!

Giveback Giveaways

Women from the shelters and organizations we serve are invited to “shop,” taking what they need and want for themselves and their families!

NOTE: These events are not open to the public, but have been designed to provide an opportunity and environment for survivors of abuse to experience the freedom to make empowered and personal choices, uninhibited by outside influences or force.
